Comment: Update:  Moved to The Villages, Florida in 2017.  Absolutely love it here.

Since we last convened at a reunion, I had the pleasure of witnessing the birth of my son’s daughter.  Being in the delivery room during a birth was never something on my bucket list, but it was indeed a highlight of my life to be there.  An event that usually only the father of the baby has the pleasure to enjoy.  She is 4 ½ now.  What a joy.

My business of administering after school tutoring programs came to an end in June of 2014.  I guess I am retired, but feel like I should be working.

Since our 40th reunion, it has been fun for me to attend lunches, dinners, play golf or go on outings with many of the women from our class.  I have enjoyed getting to know our classmates all over again and find that we have an amazing group of people that graduated with us.  Highlights for me have been a trip to Italy in 2007.  And a couple of trips with my life-long friend, Kathie Head Slaughter.  We have been to Yosemite and learned about climbers who scale El Capitan, we hiked the rain forest in the Olympic Peninsula, we have traipsed across Lake Tahoe and Colorado while geocaching.  I love the beauty of our country and National Parks and enjoy studying the history of our country.  I am always looking for my next quick trip to someplace beautiful in these our United States.

Favorite song lyrics to live by at this stage of life:  “Don’t try to change me or rearrange me…I am what I am and that’s all I ever can be.” The Turtles “Let Me Be”

Looking forward to seeing you all again.

(This is what I wrote clear back in 2006)

"Forty wonderful years of long road has brought me to the happiest and most peaceful time in my life.  It will be so much fun to meet up with all you again, but that forty years has also addled my brain.  When I look at the list of classmates, I say to myself, -Did I even go to this school? - Please tell me you all have the same thoughts.

I do remember poster parties on Tues. or Wed. nights.  What a great mid-week break.  And, every year we gathered to build the homecoming float at John Davis' house.  Our class never won the best.  The year we were seniors the juniors or sophomores (can't remember which) beat us out.  They did have a great float.  Most of all, I remember the after game "Barns".  Dancing with the guys was fun.  Still to this day I love dancing.  Look forward to kicking up my heels with my peeps from Wheat Ridge High School."
