After graduating from WRHS I traded my Farmer bib overalls and became a Buffalo at the University of Colorado, earning a B.S. in Finance and Accounting.  I got a great job as an Advisor on the Special Procedures Staff of the Internal Revenue Service but soon discovered giving away money was a lot more fun than taking money, so I transferred to the U. S. Department of Commerce where I've been for the last 20 years.

I attended Harvard University and have a dream job as the Chief, Economic Adjustment Division, helping communities who have been hit by a major disaster or lost a major employer.

I married an Iowa farm boy who did not like farming and moved to the big city of Denver.  We've been married for 35 years and have two sons and a daughter.  We also have one awesome grandson who keeps us energized and current on things like Sponge Bob Square Pants and Crabby Patty.

My favorite memory of WRHS is walking the hallowed halls with a popular senior when I was just a sophomore.  I thought that was fantastic, and I have a lot of fond memories of our conversations about the future. (Last update: 2006)

2006 - Someone was nice enough to list me as a missing farmer even though my family left Wheat Ridge long before graduation. Thanks!!

I am a retired school teacher living in Phoenix, and retirement has caused me to ride a wave of nostagia. That sent me on a Google search that ended up on this site.

For some reason my favorite memory of that time was people like Bev Lane organizing ski trips - not overnight, but with chartered buses and lots of money weirdness - without any adult supervision - when we were still in junior high. Can't imagine that happening today.

Feel free to contact me. I would love to see a '66 yearbook.

7/26/15 - Still a retired teacher living in Phoenix, but we now spend the warm months in Flagstaff.

I found a '66 yearbook on ebay and had a great time seeing what all the WRJHS folks looked like as high school seniors. I have a retiree's copious amount of free time, so I'd love to hear from anyone.

Again, many thanks for letting me join the group despite my early departure from Wheat Ridge.

I retired in 2011 after 39 years with the same company. At first I was splitting my time between San Jose, where I lived for 28 years, and Phoenix, where I had a second home. After the first year I found myself spending most of my time in Phoenix so I decided to sell my San Jose home and move to Phoenix full time. I miss being 30 minutes from the beach but not the horrible bay area traffic.

Phoenix is a perfect retirement location for me. During the summer when it is so hot I use that time to travel. The other 8 months I'm playing golf, off exploring Arizona on one of my Harley's, or off to Cabo. Last updated 2016
