Comment: "Recently moved from Portland, Oregon to Chicago, Illinois.  After studying opera in Venice, I moved to Portland to perform in the first release of Italy Then and Now.  Since moving to Chicago, I completed an audition and landed a role in Cantina Momma - certainly not a classical musical, but fun none the less.  My husband and I enjoy polka dancing and deep sea fishing. OK, OK, only the first sentence is true.

My family still lives in Colorado.  My beautiful daughter lives in Denver and has two adorable munchkins. My sweetheart of a son lives with us....he participates in programs for developmentally disabled individuals (like Special Olympics), and my time is spent volunteering for the wonderful organizations and agencies that offer these services.  Have most recently served on the board of an acting academy - now that is my passion!

Too many favorite high school memories to mention just one.  To all my friends way back then (and now).....many, many thanks for the fun times!!  "

Favorite memories include playing pool with Craig Hermansen and Darryl Larson, hanging out with Sue Speer and her mom in their kitchen,  driving my green TR3 around town--what was my Dad thinking? Would you get your kid a TR3 on her 16th birthday?   tubing Clear Creek with Fleuken brothers.  Went to Washington U in St. Louis.  Got involved with the environmental & anti-war movements that still influence me today.  My Dad persuaded  me to return to  Denver to get an MBA & become a CPA.   Waited till past 30 to get married & lived for 3 yrs in Bangladesh as financial consultant to Cholera Research hospital.  First child born in Bangkok.  The foreign service wasn't really hiring women in those days so we came back to Denver.  Susie Woodard got me a CFO job at American Animal Hospital Association in Lakewood which launched a 15 year career in practice management in Veterinary Medicine.  Had a wild couple of years doing vet hospital acquistions for venture capital funded consolidations group. Tried to get Bill Beggs to sell us his hospital in Colorado Springs.  He thought I was nuts.  I left the job and changed careers.  Went to work for the Colorado Children's Campaign.   I loved public policy work & education reform work.  In  1985 my husband & I renovated an old Victorian near Children's Hospital, in Five Points. Raised our 2 daughters there.  They went to Michell Montessori Elementary School in Cole neighborhood and  graduated from East High.  Their childhood in Five Points was very different than mine at WRHS. We were urban pioneers and loved being part of the local politics in North East Denver.  We had a wonderful 27 year marriage, but have decided to split up.  I now live in the Co-Housing community where Elitch's used to be, close to our old stomping grounds.  Current job is Executive Director of Family Star Montessori Early Head Start.  It's a school for most low income kids ages 2 months to 6 years at 33rd & Downing and on Federal Blvd just north of Invesco Field.
