After graduating from WRHS I attended Mesa Junior College, Grand Junction, Colorado and obtained an AA degree in 1968.  I then transferred to Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado and obtained BA degree in 1970.  I then served in the U.S. Army from 1970 until 1972, including a tour in Vietnam.  After I left the Army I worked in sales for about a year in Salt Lake City, Utah.  I was hired by the Federal government in 1973 and spent the next 31 years working for a number of Federal agencies, including the Veterans Administration, Civil Service Commission, Office of Personnel Management, Department of Energy (Rocky Flats), and Department of the Interior (Minerals Management Service).  Most of my career was in the human resource/personnel management field.  I retired from the Minerals Management Service in 2004, and did some consulting and contract work until 2013.

I married my lovely wife Jannice in 1975 in Colorado Springs.  She taught school for 30 plus years in Colorado Springs and Jefferson County and retired in May 2004.  We have two children, a son Justin and a daughter Krystine.  Both are married.  My son and his wife have a boy named Riley and are expecting a new baby in February 2016.  My daughter and her husband have blessed us with two grand dogs and two grand cats.

In my spare time I enjoy travel, camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, and anything outdoors.

Favorite high school memories are cruising 16th street, working on the class and school plays, attending football and basketball games, and the Farmer's Barn dances.
