Graduated from CSU in 1970 and married Bob

Benik the same year.  We spent a couple of years

in the San Francisco Bay area before returning to

Wheat Ridge to start a family.  We have 3 children

- 2 boys and 1 girl.  Chris graduated from WRHS

in 1995 and CSU in 1999.  Ross is a senior at CU

and Amy is a junior at UNC.  We also added a

granddaughter last March.  My parents and siblings

all have homes nearby.  Bob's parents live in

Westminster so we are very fortunate to have 4

generations together.

I worked as a legal assistant in a Denver law firm

for many years before changing to a paralegal

position in the legal department of Denver Public

Schools. Last data update: 2006

Comment:

After 43 years as a teacher, principal, and personnel director I retired in 2004 to enjoy gardening, volunteering, and raising my now 14 year old son, Andrew Williams (nephew of Brian Williams from NBC Nightly News). Andrew is growing into a responsible and competent young man with a host of different interests. We have traveled a lot to see America's highlights and visit spread out families.

My best WRHS memories are those great basketball and football games, the student store at lunchtime, and laughing. Mary Kay is still my best friend at the 50 year mark and both her parents still live next door to our old house on 32 Ave.

Andrew & I live in a lovely rural part of Arizona in the mountains and would love to see or hear from any Farmer that heads this way! A huge thanks to Dianne Corbetta, Judy Kifer, Kay Dwyer, Bob Knott and all others who helped with all of the reconnecting. I have always thought our high school was loaded with very special people and we were lucky to have been there together.
