Retired Widowed
50 years, where did the time go?  I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion and hearing what you've been doing.
I retired 6 years ago from a Community Relations position with the CU school of Medicine. Previously my work was in marketing and non-profit management.
I have found retirement to be surprisingly interesting and busy.  I'm active in the City of Westminster, CO as a member of the Planning Commision, Co-Chair of a task force that recommended the creation of an Inclusivity Board for the city and as a library volunteer helping people with job search.  I like the connections that are possible in a smaller city.  I know the City Council members and have helped in several re-election campaigns.
I play golf and travel, closer to home now after several trips beyond our shores.  I'm blessed with the time, health and means to have a lovely life.  And, through my volunteer and political work I try to help those who are less fortunate.

Retired
I retired in 2011 after 39 years with the same company. At first I was splitting my time between San Jose, where I lived for 28 years, and Phoenix, where I had a second home. After the first year I found myself spending most of my time in Phoenix so I decided to sell my San Jose home and move to Phoenix full time. I miss being 30 minutes from the beach but not the horrible bay area traffic.

Phoenix is a perfect retirement location for me. During the summer when it is so hot I use that time to travel. The other 8 months I'm playing golf, off exploring Arizona on one of my Harley's, or off to Cabo. Last updated 2016

Hi Gang! My situation comedy - That Girl! - debuted on ABC on September 8, 1966, and ran for five seasons until September 10, 1971. Focusing on the exploits of actress and model, Ann Marie, who leaves the comforts of her parents home in Brewster, NY, to make it big in the Big Apple - this sitcom was the first to revolve around the life of an independent young woman. Pioneering a trend for this subject matter in the late 1960s and early 1970s, it influenced the development of such shows as The Doris Day Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Julia and Rhoda. Thanks for tuning in!   - Margo

Married 3
My husband Ken and I have been married 47 years and we are really enjoying playing golf and visiting our 3 kids and 5 grandkids.  Our son Travis got married this year and we hope to have another grandchild or two to spoil.  We also enjoy spending time in AZ during the winter.  We have many blessings in our life and have also managed to weather the hard times too.  How fun it will be to catch up with everyone soon.

I was an oil and gas secretary/type with Amoco in Denver CO, Liberal KS, and Chicago IL (ending with working with the VPs) then returned to Denver and worked in independent oil and gas companies as office manager/secretary.  Divorced from Steve Sutherlin in 1989 and met Bob Outerbridge in a ballroom dance class (my love of dancing at the Farmers Barns carried over, and continues).  Bob and I married in 1992 after moving our business to Pagosa Springs (oil and mining land work) where we worked out of our home.  In 2003 we closed our business and retired to the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada.  Bob is from Bermuda and we wanted to get back to the ocean.  We now live in a forested area close to beaches and across from a lake, with a pool in the backyard.  We travel the east coast of the U.S. twice a year with our little dog.  I've always had a dog or dogs.  When he is gone we will travel other parts of the world.  Bob has a son, 26, living in San Franciso--both our parents are gone.  Life at WRHS was sure simpler than the times now.  Glad I had that time in the 60s.

The following tribute was shared in 2006 by Gerry Kearby - Jim’s close friend and our classmate:

Jim Trumbo passed away last year of brain cancer.  After he and I graduated from Wheatridge, we became roommates at CU.  We partied, separated, I was drafted and went into the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps...Jim became the piano player for Van Morrison and played on many of his hit records.  (You can guess which one of us had more fun in music).

I am honored to have two of his three sons working for me now and we keep his memory alive with his music and many stories.

Some of you may remember that Jim, (who became an evangelical preacher in the Bay Area) wrote the arrangement of “Try to Remember” that we played with the choir and the Jim Trumbo Trio at graduation gatherings.  Also, Jim and I fondly remembered our times in the choir and our weird time playing at the prom.

Those of you who knew him might want to send any memories you have of Jim to Isaac Trumbo.  He can be reached at isaac@neurotone.com .
I know he would appreciate hearing from you.

Good guy, great piano player, able to shoot 100 free throws in a row...impossible guy to play horse with...

Best Regards and have a fun reunion,

Gerry Kearby (Jerry)
