"Seems like I have spent the last year just slowing down from the rest of my life.  Slowing down is wonderful but it takes some adjustment too.  Having raised two great children, a daugher and a son, and I am about to become a grandmom for the first time. Commercial Real Estate has been my profession for the last 23 years which has been a very challenging and rewarding career.
I married my soulmate in February of this year and we live on acreage south of Castle Rock and are enjoying our more peaceful life outside of the city.  We both love to travel and explore.  We sail the Caribbean each winter in a small boat and have had wonderful adventures worldwide.
No complaints, life has been great.  No specific high school memories, just good ones overall.  Forty years has gone quickly!!!

"The big news in my life is that I retired last December! For the past 16 years I was Vice President at ACT,Inc. (the testing company that publishes The ACT Test for college admissions). Since retiring I have been enrolled at the University of Iowa studying Italian. We have been to Italy twice and next year we are planning to live in Florence for a few months, so I am hoping to be functional in the language.

My husband, Sonny, is a physician and is planning to retire this December. We have four beautiful granddaughters. Our goal is to travel the world while we are still young enough to carry our bags up the stairs of old world inns.

I really wish I could be with everyone at the reunion. It is obvious that a great amount of work has gone into making it happen. Best wishes to all. La vita e bella! (Life is beautiful) Ciao!"

I may be less well known than some of the other honorary members of the class, but can be seen as a representative of traditional values during our turbulent era. At age 21,  I earned my masters degree in Government from Radcliffe/Harvard. I wrote the multi-million copy selling book A Choice Not an Echo on behalf of the Barry Goldwater campaign in 1964. I denounced the corruption and liberalism of Northeastern Republicans like Nelson Rockefeller. My fiery, fluent speaking style gained me conservative audiences around the country. In the early 1970s I founded the Eagle Forum and opposed the Equal Rights Amendment which would have imposed a false equality against the natural differences of the sexes. We were successful in defeating the ERA during the 70s and turned back more liberal policies with the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980.

My husband, Stan , and I live in our log cabin in the foothills of northern Oregon.
We love it !  He is a sales rep for Capitol Toyota in Salem and I am blessed with being
ble to stay home, care for our large yard and all our critters that we have rescued over
he years. We won't be able to attend the reunion but I sure would love to hear from
some Farmers out there.   Stan and I met in Hawaii where we lived for 4 years on the
island of Kauai. In 1991, we moved to Egale River, Wisconsin and now we are in Grand
Ronde, Oregon where we are closer to family and the milder climate! (Last update: 2006)

Graduated from CSU in 1970 and married Bob
Benik the same year.  We spent a couple of years
in the San Francisco Bay area before returning to
Wheat Ridge to start a family.  We have 3 children
- 2 boys and 1 girl.  Chris graduated from WRHS
in 1995 and CSU in 1999.  Ross is a senior at CU
and Amy is a junior at UNC.  We also added a
granddaughter last March.  My parents and siblings
all have homes nearby.  Bob's parents live in
Westminster so we are very fortunate to have 4
generations together.

I worked as a legal assistant in a Denver law firm
for many years before changing to a paralegal
position in the legal department of Denver Public
Schools. Last data update: 2006

Accountant Single 2
Someone told me recently that my bio was kinda boring...on the other hand, if a person talks about challenges in life, a person can sound pretty whiney. In order to strike a balance between boring and whiney, I've decided to say that life is strange. It's not what I expected 68 to look like! I really want to have a vision for what the rest of my life will be. I'm having trouble coming up with a vision that's sufficiently inspiring but takes into account the financial limitations of being single and not totally prepared for retirement. So I'm preoccupied with coming up with this vision...

My full-time work is interesting, since this non-profit, Silver Key, is growing--and we manage to have quite a few laughs along the way.

Things are improving for my daughter who moved back from NC in 2014 and my two grandchildren here are settled in pretty well by now. I have a number of great friends here in Colorado Springs - and we've known each other a long time, so it's fun to hang out with them. I don't get to see my daughter and granddaughters in Virginia very often, but we are in touch every week.

I-25 does run two directions, so you Denver metro folks ought to come down to the Springs once in a while!
