2006 update:
After college graduation I anticipated going to Law School, but was diverted into an enjoyable career in law enforcement and worked in Tucson, AZ.  Have retired from law enforcement, entered Corporate Security in the Financial Industry for 9-years as Corporate Security Director.  Currently employed as Sr. Investigator for a large, world-wide insurance company and investigate fraudulent insurance claims. Have 5 children, 14 grandchildren who are all adorable!  Best HS memories are playing in Friday night football games and winning track meets.

Sadly, the following note was received Lou Pistorius, wife of  Dave, on August 17, 2007:

I wanted to let everyone know how much Dave & I appreciated all the hard work that was put into the 40th Class Reunion for the class of 1966.  We enjoyed it so much and it will always bring a smile to my face when I think of that time.
Unfortunately I lost my companion & your good friend on July 7th of this year.  I am including his obituary and you can all leave a message on his guest book at www.chron.com.  The guest book will be up forever and we will be adding pictures to it as well.
Thanks again.
Lou Pistorius  *******************************************************************

IBM - Retired Divorced 2
Last data update: 2006

Retired from IBM after 32 years and another 3 1/2 as a contractor to them.  Currently living full time in a motorhome.  I travel extensively throughout the US and Canada.  I am presently divorced.  My best memory of high school was the day I showed up with orange hair.  By the time I got near the office, Pyle was waiting for me.  Looking at my bald head now, maybe that was the cause.
No longer living in motorhome.  I bought a house in Loveland that needed a lot of work and have been doing that work.

Bio addition 2016
Life has been truly wonderful in retirement. Always wondered where my Spanish would take me and after a vacation trip 10 years age to Costa Rica I am truly enmeshed in the land and the beautiful people who live there working on an humanitarian aid project to bring school supplies and medical supplies to the people in need. Through their love and caring they have given me so much more than I could ever give them.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 18 years and my son is now back in Denver working in his own business as a civil engineer. He was married last year and I now have a beautiful daughter in law who is teaching at Chatfield High School.
I so look forward to seeing you at this coming reunion and celebrating with time together.

I live in California with my husband, Steve, of 33 years and our son Matthew. Our daughter, Katie, lives in Ohio. I have had a wonderful career teaching elementary school but am now retired. I will not be able to attend as I will be helping our son move into an apartment at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo University for his sophomore year that weekend. I will be thinking of all of you. Have fun!

Shortly after graduation my family moved to Kearney, Nebraska (Go Huskers!)  I attended Kearney State College for 2 years then married in 1968.  In 1970 we moved to Eustis (pop. 450), the hometown of my husband, Bob.  It took me a long time to adjust to that move!  Our community is so small that we have no traffic lights and it takes maybe two minutes to get to work.  But we raised two wonderful children in Eustis, Stacey and Ryan, where they received a good education and solid values.  Both graduated for UNL, Stacey with a medical degree and Ryan with a business degree.  Our daughter and family live in Atlantic, Iowa where they both work in the medical field.  They blessed us with twins, a girl and a boy, now 7, and a four-year-old granddaughter.  Our son and family (two precious boys, 5 and 3) live in Kearney.  He works with his dad in the family business as a multi-lines insurance agent, commuting everyday to Eustis.  I eventually received a BFA from Kearney State College and a MAE from the University of Nebraska at Kearney by commuting 120 a day.  I owned and operated an art gallery in our town, but I am now retired and enjoy all aspects of art, traveling, reading, time at our cabin by the lake, the creative aspects of gardening, and, of course, spending time with those wonderful grandkids!

Married 4
50 years...What a journey! I have lived all of those years in the midwest. My husband and I have 3 sons and 1 daughter. We are now able to enjoy 7 grandchildren, ages 2 through 22. All of these important people live nearby, and we know we are fortunate, because in earlier years that was not the case. There were definitely some challenging years that made getting together tough. At this point we enjoy family activities, sporting events and traveling.

Beyond family, my life's work has been in the healthcare field, managing various areas in multi-doctor faciilities. Before I retired I was able to work for a group of amazing doctors in the area of natural healthcare. There I became passionate about all that can be done to heal the body naturally. I continue to pursue that interest.

See you in September!

Classmate deceased.

"Just moved from Northern Cal to Redondo Beach a few months ago and found out about the reunion, sorry I could not attend. Accepted a job with a Healthcare system as the CIO, which is the career path I have followed since the Army had me after HS. I do get to Colorado and New Mexico (lived there for many years) every few years and would like to touch base with those in the area. Have kids, grandkids and an 11 year old still at home. Keeps me hopping. Have fun everyone.

Unfortunately, the following note was received from Jeanne Ullstrom Cook (also WRHS classmate), on Sept. 7, 2007:

Thought you would like to add to the WRHS class of '66 website the sad news that Larry Raizen passed away in California on August 27, 2007.

Larry's obituary was in the Denver newspaper:  Larry, 59, of Redondo Beach, CA passed away August 27, after a short illness.  A memorial service will be held at Temple Micah, 2600 Leyden, Denver at 11 am on Sunday, September 26.  In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Heart Assocation.

This Russian immigrant to the US inspired classmates with her conservative writing, including novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. She argued for rational individualism in a classical liberal, capitalist society. She opposed the expanding welfare state with its stifling bureaucracy.
