"Tracy B. Getz. Faculty (retired) University of Washington, School of Dentistry. Behavioral medicine, Clinical Psych.

Current occupation: Wayfarer.
Best Teacher: Mr. Ellis. He taught us to think.
Biggest Regret: Not knowing how to make WRHS a better exp.

Fifty years ago I was a shy, anxious, depressed and lonely teen who could not have
imagined how well my life has turned out. I'd never have predicted I'd meet a woman who would draw me out of my shell, a career as a faculty member at the U.W. , or meet the love of my life. I'd never imagined that I would travel the world, or retire at 55 to the best little mountain town in the Rockies: Durango. Here we rediscovered the outdoors and the beauty that is Colorado. In 2013 we purchased a place in Tucson & offically became snowbirds, tho I think a better term is sunbirds, as we chase the sun.
We continue to travel abroad whenever we can, and this fall we will knock about Laos & Cambodia. My life has been blessed by good fortune or good choices, I''m not sure which.

Painfully shy, I've few memories of talking with my classmates, & I'm sure they have even fewer of me! I'd be interested in meeting fellow students of Mr Ellis. For me, and perhaps others it was the most meaningful experience of H.S.  I've yet to decide if I will attend, but I think we should all be appreciative of the efforts folks are putting in to make the event happen.
I'd love to hear from anyone with a yen to write.

Professor, Retired suite3d.com Married 2
I retired last year from teaching at Merrimack College, north of Boston. I am really enjoying not having to go to work! About the time of my retirement, for the first time in my life, my art went viral on the internet. Well, one piece did - Planetary Suite. My 15 minutes of fame has resulted in selling some prints of the painting. It keeps me busy.

I also spend a lot of time studying Japanese. I travel to Japan every year and have made a lot of friends through my study. But, after 15 years of study of the language, I can't seem to pass the mid-level proficiency test. Ah well.

I have two grown children, Derek, 27, and Jessie, 35. Jessie has two children 2 and 4 years old for whom I do some babysitting fairly often.
My favorite memory of Wheatridge High is the view of the mountains from the classrooms. I still have dreams of that view though I have not been back to Colorado since 1972.

I'm afraid I was not the most sociable kid in high school but it is nice to see photographs and profiles of everyone. My thanks to the reunion organizers for making this possible.

"After graduating from WRHS, I went to the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, where I received BS and MS degrees in chemical engineering.  Several other WRHS grads also went to Mines, including Dave Duston and Rick Sadok.  While at Mines, I met Sally Rager (WRHS class of 1967)and we got married between my Junior and Senior years.  We moved to Houston after I graduated.  (I did not think about having to move away from Colorado when I picked chemical engineering as my major.)  We moved back to Colorado for a few years while I worked as a consultant for oil shale projects.  Unfortunately, that did not last, and we returned to Houston.
Sally and I have three sons: Scott, Brian, and Grant.  Scott is married, and lives in Houston.  Brian is engaged, and lives in Denver.  Grant lives in Dallas, and is getting married on the same day as the Class of 66 reunion, so I will not be able to see you all.
I am now a partner in an energy consulting company, and Sally is a middle school special ed teacher.  We return to Colorado whenever possible to visit parents, brothers, sisters, and our son.
My favorite memories primarily revolve around going to school sporting events, and the Barns that followed.  I also enjoyed going skiing with the WRHS Ski Club.  One stand-out memory was winning the Moonrakers dance from KIMN."

I am pleased to be joined by many of you in a commitment to Jesus Christ and the Truth of the Bible. While some of your class became hippies or political activists, a good number found a personal relation with Jesus to center their lives. A revival in my youth brought me closer to the Gospel, and I have been blessed in developing the crusades that have led me around the world to spread this Word.

In 2006: Larry and I have lived in Oklahoma our entire married life (37 yrs and counting).  We found it a surprisingly wonderful place to live and raise our family of 2 girls who now have expanded the family by 4 grandchildren, collectively.  Larry has been retired for several years which has allowed us to do lots of traveling and spend time in Colorado which we still love.

I value my family and old and new friends most dear in my life and look forward to linking up with WRHS friends reunion weekend.

I think my favorite H.S. memories are of the Farmer's Barns (although being a wallflower can be extremely painful), the basketball games (go Farmers!) and singing in mixed chorus, I think we were pretty good once Mr. Dalton whipped us into shape. **********************************************************************
We are saddened to report that Jan has passed away.  The following obituary was published by the Denver Newspaper Agency on July 25, 2007.  Jan Kordisch, 58 passed away July 19th, 2007.  Jan was born in Minot, ND to Byron and Florence Graue.  She was raised in Denver, CO, and graduated from Wheat Ridge High School.  At a school dance, she met her future husband of 38 years, Larry Kordisch.  She attended the University of Colorado, and later moved to Tulsa, then to Oklahoma City where she graduated from University of Central Oklahoma.  Jan was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana.  She was an avid church goer and member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.  Jan is remembered for her fierce loyalty, quick wit, devotion to her faith, endless words of wisdom, love of reading, passion for music, and her amazing ability to make everyone feel needed, loved and important.  Jan was luminous, vibrant, effervescent and irreplaceable.  She is mourned and survived by her husband, Larry Kordisch, daughters and their husbands Lane and Matt Roberts and Lindsey and Andrew Oliver, and her treasured grandchildren Brady, Jackson, and Luke Roberts and Violet Oliver.  She is also survived by siblings Dennis Graue and Alice Smith.  Family requests memorials be made to 'Harding Charter Prep High School' with memo: 'Jan Kordisch Memorial Scholarship' 333 N Chartel, Oklahoma City, OK 73118.  Her memorial service will be held on Friday, July 27th at 3:00 at St. Paul's Luthean Church, Oklahoma City, OK.
